Privacy policy

How CIF 2026 Business Connect collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated: September 2026.

1. Who is responsible

CIF 2026 Business Connect (b2bmatch.cif.cm) is operated for the Cameroon Investment Forum 2026 by the Investment Promotion Agency (IPA), Nouvelle Route Bastos, P.O. Box 20771, Yaoundé, Cameroon. Contact for any privacy request: info@cif.cm.

2. Data we collect

  • Account and identity: name, professional email, password (stored encrypted), preferred language.
  • Professional profile: organisation, job title, country and city, phone, website, LinkedIn, logo or photo, presentation, sectors, offers and needs, target markets, investment ticket or funding sought, languages, CIF pass type and reference, availability.
  • Activity: meeting requests and their status, messages exchanged with other participants, meeting check-ins and the feedback you provide, projects and pitch decks you submit.
  • Technical data: IP address and security logs used to prevent abuse.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and manage your account and verify participants (legitimate interest of the organisers and security of the event).
  • To recommend relevant participants and projects and schedule your meetings (performance of the service you request).
  • To send you service emails: confirmations, requests, reminders and agenda.
  • To produce anonymised statistics and the official report of the forum.
  • With your separate consent only: news about the CIF and future editions.

4. Who can see your data

Your professional profile is visible to approved participants if you keep “Show my profile in the directory” switched on. Your email address and phone number are only shown to another participant once a meeting between you is confirmed. The organisers (IPA and its authorised service providers for the event) can access all data to run the platform. Pitch decks are only available to approved participants and the organisers. We do not sell your data.

5. Retention

Your data is kept for the duration of the forum and up to 12 months afterwards for follow-up and reporting, then deleted or anonymised, unless you delete your account earlier.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct and download your data at any time from “My profile”, hide your profile from the directory, and delete your account (this cancels your meetings). You may also contact us to exercise your rights of access, rectification, objection and erasure, in accordance with applicable Cameroonian legislation on personal data protection.

7. Security & cookies

The platform uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, rate limiting and activity logs. We only use the cookies necessary to keep you logged in and to secure forms; no advertising cookies are used.
